Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Active Duty members and Department of Defense beneficiaries (former military, spouse, dependent child), aged 18 to 65 years
- Meeting PTSD criteria with a PTSD checklist (PCL-5) score of 31 or higher in the past month
- At least one positive response to an item on the Life Events Checklist (LEC-5)
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant, may be pregnant, or trying to become pregnant
- Prior treatment with Dragons acupuncture
- Hospitalization for mental health reasons within the last year
- Active suicidal thoughts or suicide attempt within the last year
- Currently receiving acupuncture or other non-medication treatments specifically for PTSD
- Use of legally authorized representatives for consent
- Unable to receive care at Nellis Air Force Base (military installation)
