Researchers are evaluating the "My Breastfeeding Guide" mobile nursing application, developed based on Dennis' Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Theory and Pender's Health Promotion Model, to study its effects on the postpartum breastfeeding process, breastfeeding self-efficacy, infant feeding attitudes, and maternal-infant attachment. This is a randomized controlled experimental and longitudinal study involving pregnant women attending obstetrics and gynecology clinics in Famagusta. The study aims to compare outcomes between users of the app and those receiving standard care. Participants are divided into two groups: one using the mobile nursing application and the other receiving standard antenatal and postnatal care. The app includes three parts: mother and baby information collected via scales and forms, educational literature, and an expert consultation and blog section. Mothers in the app group receive motivational notifications every two days and keep their information on the app system. Both groups receive breastfeeding education booklets and brochures based on established breastfeeding guidelines. Participants will be followed from late pregnancy (32nd week onward) through six months postpartum. Data will be collected at multiple time points: during late pregnancy, within 24-48 hours after delivery, at one week, six weeks, and six months postpartum. Various forms and scales will assess breastfeeding self-efficacy, infant nutrition attitudes, breastfeeding behavior, and maternal attachment. The intervention group completes assessments via the app, while the control group uses online forms. Statistical analyses will compare results between groups to determine the app's impact.
