Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients aged between 18 and 80 years
  • Diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea with AHI 6 5 events/hour for OSA group
  • Diagnosed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease based on GOLD guidelines for COPD group
  • Diagnosed both OSA (AHI 6 5) and COPD for overlap group
  • Healthy volunteers with no known respiratory diseases or sleep disorders for control group
  • Ability and willingness to provide informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Severe cardiovascular diseases such as unstable angina or heart failure NYHA III/IV
  • Severe liver or kidney failure
  • Neuromuscular diseases affecting breathing muscles
  • Recent upper airway or chest surgery within 3 months
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Inability to complete assessments due to cognitive impairment or poor cooperation
