Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 20 and 45 years
- Singleton pregnancy
- Gestational age between 37 completed weeks and 42 weeks
- Undergoing elective primary cesarean section
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous uterine surgery (e.g., hysterotomy, myomectomy, prior cesarean section)
- Abnormal placental invasion such as placenta previa or accreta
- Uterine anomalies including septum, Mullerian anomalies, or fibroids
- Use of drugs affecting bleeding or healing (e.g., anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, chronic steroids over 14 days pre-operation)
- Medical conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or thyroid disorders that may affect healing
