Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 20 and 45 years
  • Singleton pregnancy
  • Gestational age between 37 completed weeks and 42 weeks
  • Undergoing elective primary cesarean section
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Previous uterine surgery (e.g., hysterotomy, myomectomy, prior cesarean section)
  • Abnormal placental invasion such as placenta previa or accreta
  • Uterine anomalies including septum, Mullerian anomalies, or fibroids
  • Use of drugs affecting bleeding or healing (e.g., anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, chronic steroids over 14 days pre-operation)
  • Medical conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or thyroid disorders that may affect healing
