Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participant has provided informed consent before starting any trial activities.
- Aged 18 years or older (or meeting legal age if higher in country).
- Willing and able to follow the treatment plan and evaluations during the trial.
- Diagnosed with uncontrolled gout meeting protocol criteria.
You will not qualify if you...
- Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
- Liver enzyme levels (AST or ALT) above 1.25 times the upper limit of normal or low albumin at screening.
- Uncontrolled diabetes or hemoglobin A1c over 8%.
- Known intolerance to methotrexate.
- Previous treatment with pegloticase, other recombinant uricase drugs, or PEG-conjugated therapies.
- Intolerance to standard gout flare prevention treatments (colchicine, NSAIDs, or low-dose prednisone).
- Chronic kidney impairment with eGFR under 40 mL/min/1.73 m² or currently on dialysis.
