You may qualify if you...

  • Cataract patients
  • Age over 45 years old
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patients with ocular surface diseases or eyelid abnormalities
  • Patients using ocular or systemic medications that affect tear film production and stability (e.g., eye drops with preservatives, antihistamines, anticholinergics, contraceptive pills)
  • Patients with systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, or rheumatoid arthritis
  • Patients who had previous eye surgeries that affect tear production or stability (e.g., refractive surgery, keratoplasty, eyelid surgeries, pterygium excision)
  • Patients with a history of eye trauma, chemical burns, or overuse of contact lenses causing conjunctival damage or reduced corneal sensitivity
