Age: 50Years +
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Diagnosed with stroke, with stroke onset more than 6 months ago
  • Age 50 years or older
  • Able to follow verbal and visual instructions
  • Montreal Cognitive Assessment score of 22 or higher
  • Able to walk 10 meters with or without a mobility aid
  • Living in the community with unilateral stroke
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Having neurological disorders, pain, or other conditions that prevent walking
  • Currently receiving any formal rehabilitation training
  • Having contraindications to exercise such as unstable angina
  • Having contraindications to fNIRS, MRI, or tDCS, including brain skin injury, pacemaker, or metal brain implants
  • History of seizure or epilepsy
  • Color blindness
  • Unable to walk with or without a mobility aid while responding to stimulus by remote control
