Researchers are investigating how cholecystitis, an inflammation of the gallbladder often caused by gallstones, is treated across different hospitals in the Netherlands. The study aims to understand variations in treatment approaches by different specialists and how these differences affect hospital stay duration and other outcomes. This nationwide observational study will analyze patients diagnosed and treated for cholecystitis over a six-month period, focusing on adherence to treatment guidelines and related impacts.

History of severe allergic reactions to study medication Currently pregnant or breastfeeding Recent participation in another clinical trial within the last 30 days Presence of uncontrolled medical conditions that could affect safety

Duration - First six months following diagnosis
Participants who undergo routine care for cholecystitis are observed during their hospital stay and up to six months following diagnosis.
