Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patient is 65 years or older
- Patient has a diagnosis of Stage III or IV advanced cancer of any type
- Patient scores 4 or more on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Distress Thermometer
- Patient can read and understand English
- One caregiver enrolls with each patient
- Caregiver is chosen by the patient as a significant other, spouse, romantic partner, or adult child involved in health matters
- Caregiver is 50 years or older
- Caregiver can reach and understand English
You will not qualify if you...
- Patient cannot identify a caregiver to participate in the study
- Caregiver is unable to provide consent
