The aim of this observational study was to learn about the characteristics of dysfunctional breathing in individuals with thoracic outlet syndrome. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Agree to participate in the study
- Diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome by a thoracic surgeon
- Between 18 and 65 years old
- Having pain for more than 6 months
You will not qualify if you...
- History of spinal or thoracic surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome or any other reason
- Traumatic cervical injury
- Severe obesity (BMI greater than 40 kg/m2)
- Clinical abnormalities in the thoracic cage or vertebral column
- Occupational industrial exposures
- Severe comorbidities including neurological, neuromuscular, cardiorespiratory, psychiatric, musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes mellitus, or malignancies
