Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 85 years
- Diagnosed with any type of stroke
- In the acute or subacute phase of stroke recovery
- Medically stable as approved by a physician
- Receiving medical care and rehabilitation at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation
- All genders, races, and ethnicities eligible
- Able to use Ekso robotic exoskeleton based on frame size
- Continent or following a bladder and bowel management program
- Have the ability and goal to improve walking
You will not qualify if you...
- Having other neurological disorders such as traumatic brain injury, degenerative diseases, or brain tumors
- Having profound cognitive impairment
- Being pregnant
