Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 18 and 85 years
  • Diagnosed with any type of stroke
  • In the acute or subacute phase of stroke recovery
  • Medically stable as approved by a physician
  • Receiving medical care and rehabilitation at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation
  • All genders, races, and ethnicities eligible
  • Able to use Ekso robotic exoskeleton based on frame size
  • Continent or following a bladder and bowel management program
  • Have the ability and goal to improve walking
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Having other neurological disorders such as traumatic brain injury, degenerative diseases, or brain tumors
  • Having profound cognitive impairment
  • Being pregnant
