Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients of both sexes aged 20 to 40 years
  • Diagnosis of functional constipation according to Rome IV criteria with symptoms for 6 to 12 months
  • Body mass index between 18.5 and 29.9 kg/m2
  • Waist to height ratio less than or equal to 0.5
  • Experiencing bothersome constipation symptoms
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Pregnancy
  • Chronic pelvic pain or neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord lesions
  • Metabolic or endocrine disorders including diabetes mellitus, hypercalcemia, or hypothyroidism
  • Cardiorespiratory diseases
  • Health problems preventing standing from sitting or walking due to orthopedic, neurological, or cardiorespiratory conditions
  • Malignancy, acute inflammation, or intestinal tumors
  • History of gastrointestinal, pelvic, or spinal surgeries except cholecystectomy, appendectomy, or hysterectomy
  • Visual, auditory, or cognitive impairments preventing study participation
  • Tumors or skin problems at the treatment area
  • Use of laxatives for functional constipation in the last four weeks or ongoing laxative therapy
  • Alarm symptoms such as unexplained weight loss over 10% in 3 months, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal bleeding, or family history of colon cancer
