Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients of both sexes aged 20 to 40 years
- Diagnosis of functional constipation according to Rome IV criteria with symptoms for 6 to 12 months
- Body mass index between 18.5 and 29.9 kg/m2
- Waist to height ratio less than or equal to 0.5
- Experiencing bothersome constipation symptoms
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnancy
- Chronic pelvic pain or neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord lesions
- Metabolic or endocrine disorders including diabetes mellitus, hypercalcemia, or hypothyroidism
- Cardiorespiratory diseases
- Health problems preventing standing from sitting or walking due to orthopedic, neurological, or cardiorespiratory conditions
- Malignancy, acute inflammation, or intestinal tumors
- History of gastrointestinal, pelvic, or spinal surgeries except cholecystectomy, appendectomy, or hysterectomy
- Visual, auditory, or cognitive impairments preventing study participation
- Tumors or skin problems at the treatment area
- Use of laxatives for functional constipation in the last four weeks or ongoing laxative therapy
- Alarm symptoms such as unexplained weight loss over 10% in 3 months, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal bleeding, or family history of colon cancer
