Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Written informed consent
- Native Finnish speaker
- Age-normative hearing
- Diagnosis of a malignancy treated with curative intent using one of the following: 1) Cisplatin as main chemotherapy, 2) Oxaliplatin as main chemotherapy, 3) Cisplatin-based chemoradiation in the head and neck region, 4) Radiation therapy in the head and neck region
You will not qualify if you...
- Inability to provide written informed consent
- Current or prior major ear condition affecting hearing
- Conductive or asymmetric sensorineural hearing loss of any severity
- Severe sensorineural hearing loss
- Prior malignancy treated with chemotherapy or radiation
- Prior use of ototoxic medications
- Any significant disease or disorder that may pose risk or affect trial results
- Any condition interfering with trial adherence
- Allergy or hypersensitivity to trial medications or ingredients
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or intention to become pregnant during the trial
