Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Postmenopausal women at least 12 months after cessation of menstruation
- Age between 50 and 60 years old
- Body mass index (BMI) less than 30 kg/m2
- Vitamin D levels indicating potential deficiency between 30 nmol and 50 nmol
- T-score on DEXA scan between -1.1 and -2.4 indicating low bone density (osteopenia)
- Able to walk independently
- Sedentary lifestyle with little or no regular exercise
You will not qualify if you...
- Thyroid, kidney, or liver dysfunction
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Severe anemia
- Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
- History of chest surgery
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Cancer or malignancy
- Renal failure
- History of myocardial infarction
- Myasthenia gravis
- Hyperthyroidism
- Recent hemorrhage
- Acute viral diseases or tuberculosis
- Mental disorders
- Presence of pacemaker
- Musculoskeletal disorders
- Use of corticosteroids within the last 6 months
