Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female participants aged 18-65
- Participants with a BMI of 24.0 kg/m2 or higher
- Participants with HbA1c between 5.7% and 6.4%, or fasting plasma glucose between 6.1 and 7.0 mmol/liter, or 2-hour plasma glucose post-challenge between 7.8 and 11.1 mmol/liter
- Participants with stable weight within 3 months before the trial, fluctuating within 4 kg
- Participants who voluntarily agree and sign informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with secondary obesity caused by drugs or neuro-endocrine-metabolic disorders
- Patients diagnosed with type I or type II diabetes
- Patients taking medication causing significant weight gain or loss
- Patients with Hamilton 17-item Depression Scale score above 18 or severe psychiatric disorders
- Patients with severe ulcer, abscess, or skin infection at acupuncture sites
- Patients with severe diseases of heart, brain, lungs, liver, kidneys, or blood system
- Participants who joined other clinical trials within the past month
- Pregnant or lactating women
