Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Stroke confirmed by CT or MRI imaging
- Ischemic stroke must meet Chinese Guidelines for Acute Ischemic Stroke 2018
- Cerebral hemorrhage must meet Chinese Guidelines for Cerebral Hemorrhage 2019
- Presence of cognitive dysfunction symptoms assessed by rehabilitation physicians
- MoCA score 26 points or less
- MMSE score depending on education level: illiteracy 17 or less, primary school 20 or less, secondary school 22 or less, college 23 or less
- Age between 40 and 80 years old
- No obvious aphasia; able to cooperate with evaluation and treatment
- Patient or family member has signed informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Severe diseases like malignant arrhythmia, acute myocardial infarction, or acute heart failure preventing rehabilitation
- Untreated intracranial aneurysms, severe epilepsy, or intracranial metals preventing tDCS treatment
- Cognitive impairment not related to post-stroke cognitive impairment (e.g., from previous stroke or other organ disorders)
