What this Trial Is About

Stroke often leads to weakness, poor coordination, and balance problems, which can reduce a persons independence. HABIT-ILE Hand-Arm Bimanual Intensive Therapy Including Lower Extremity is a rehabilitation approach designed to improve motor control, balance, and functional independence by focusing on coordinated movements involving both the upper and lower limbs. This study aims to evaluate how effective HABIT-ILE is in improving balance and coordination in stroke survivors aged 40 to 60 years. Participants are divided into two groups one receives the HABIT-ILE therapy, which involves intensive, progressively challenging exercises for two hours daily over three weeks focusing on both upper and lower limbs. The other group receives conventional physical therapy consisting of range of motion, stretching, strengthening, and muscle relaxation exercises during 30-minute sessions. This randomized controlled trial compares these two approaches to assess their impact on stroke recovery. During the six-month study period, participants undergo assessments including the Finger-to-Nose Test, Berg Balance Scale, and 6-Minute Walk Test to measure improvements in coordination, balance, and mobility. Data analysis includes repeated measures ANOVA to evaluate changes over time. The study monitors participant progress closely to determine the therapys effects on functional outcomes and mobility after stroke, with the overall goal of enhancing quality of life.
