Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a common bacterium affecting up to half of the global population, especially in developing countries. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic condition where stomach contents flow back into the esophagus, causing symptoms like heartburn and regurgitation. This trial investigates how eradicating H. pylori may impact GERD symptoms and disease severity, as the relationship between H. pylori infection and GERD is not fully understood. Participants diagnosed with GERD through clinical and endoscopic methods will be observed to assess the effects of H. pylori eradication. The study period spans from January 2024 to December 2024, during which researchers will monitor the success of triple therapy in eliminating H. pylori and evaluate changes in GERD symptoms following eradication. During the study, participants will undergo assessments to confirm H. pylori eradication and track GERD symptom improvement. The main outcomes measured are the eradication of H. pylori and the effect of this eradication on GERD symptoms over the year-long observation. The study is observational and does not involve experimental treatments beyond standard care.
