Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients aged 18 to 55 years
- Diagnosis of persistent symptomatic apical periodontitis in previously treated teeth
- Radiographic evidence of periapical radiolucency 5 mm or larger
- Tooth has a periradicular lesion strictly from endodontic origin and cannot be restored by nonsurgical retreatment
- Classified as ASA-1 (healthy) according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, uncontrolled hypertension grade III, hepatic or renal disease, or systemic bleeding disorders
- Combined endodontic-periodontic lesions
- Pregnancy
