Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Aged 30 to 64 years
- Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27.0 kg/m2 or higher
You will not qualify if you...
- Younger than 30 or 65 years or older
- Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 27.0 kg/m2
- Allergy to any components in the plant-based tonic
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Regularly skipping breakfast (not eating breakfast at least 5 days per week)
- Diagnosed metabolic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, or cardiovascular conditions
- On an energy-restricted diet or significant weight change (>5% body weight) in past 3 months
- High alcohol consumption (>14 units per week)
- Taking medication for blood glucose control
- Unable to attend in-person testing sessions
- Unwilling or unable to provide blood samples
