Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Aged 30 to 64 years
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27.0 kg/m2 or higher
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Younger than 30 or 65 years or older
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 27.0 kg/m2
  • Allergy to any components in the plant-based tonic
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Regularly skipping breakfast (not eating breakfast at least 5 days per week)
  • Diagnosed metabolic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, or cardiovascular conditions
  • On an energy-restricted diet or significant weight change (>5% body weight) in past 3 months
  • High alcohol consumption (>14 units per week)
  • Taking medication for blood glucose control
  • Unable to attend in-person testing sessions
  • Unwilling or unable to provide blood samples
