Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Ambulatory, sedentary, non-smoking women with natural menopause at least 1 year before participation
- Aged between 50 and 60 years old
- Body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 kg/m2
- Pain located above the inferior gluteal fold and below the costal margin
- Diagnosed with osteopenia
You will not qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of osteoporosis
- History of osteoporotic fractures
- Previous lumbar spine surgery
- Presence of neurological disorders
- Known diseases affecting bone quality such as hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, or hypercortisolism
- Receiving medical or hormonal therapies that affect bone metabolism
- Previous manual therapy treatment
