Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with stroke confirmed by computed tomography (CT) or MRI
- Age between 50 and 65 years, male or female
- Hemodynamically stable
- Good cognitive ability to understand study requirements
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to follow instructions due to sensory aphasia, blindness, dementia, or deafness
- Have orthopedic, neurological, or chest disorders affecting trunk muscle control or causing respiratory problems such as COPD
- Cognitive or psychiatric disorders
- Unstable cardiovascular conditions
- Contraindications to neuromuscular electrical stimulation, including having a cardiac pacemaker or recent acute abdominal surgery
