Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age under 70 years
- Stable coronary heart disease
- Patients with acute coronary syndrome who had PCI or CABG at least 2 months ago
- High LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, or high triglycerides
You will not qualify if you...
- Age over 70 years
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Liver disease
- Thyroid disease
- Active cancer
- Diseases affecting inflammatory markers (e.g., rheumatic diseases)
- Chronic kidney failure (creatinine over 2 mg/dl)
- Chronic corticosteroid treatment
- Participation in weight loss, dietary, or intensive exercise programs in the past 2 months
- Use of multivitamin supplements with antioxidant properties
