You may qualify if you...

  • Patients with unilateral primary inguinal hernia scheduled for elective Transabdominal preperitoneal inguinal hernia repair (TAPP)
  • Signed informed consent to participate
  • ASA physical status I to III
  • Body mass index (BMI) of 35 kg/m2 or less
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Inguinoscrotal hernia (hernia passing through the entrance to the scrotum)
  • Previously diagnosed mental disorders
  • Use of psychotropic drugs or drugs affecting adrenal cortex function (estrogens and systemic glucocorticoids)
  • Language barrier
  • Deviations during operation or anesthesia requiring intensive care unit transfer or conversion to open surgery
  • Refusal to participate
