Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 18 and 50 years
  • Both males and females
  • Body mass index less than 30 kg/m2
  • ASA physical status classification 1, II, or III
  • Scheduled for elective abdominal surgery with a midline incision
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patient refusal to participate
  • Infection at the planned injection site
  • Known coagulation disorders
  • Allergy to medications used in the study
  • Pregnant women
  • Respiratory tract infection within the previous 2 weeks
  • Urgent or emergency abdominal surgery
