Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Be between 40 and 85 years old
- Be able to understand verbal and written information given in Turkish
- Be able to speak and understand Turkish
- Be scheduled for unilateral total knee arthroplasty due to primary knee osteoarthritis
You will not qualify if you...
- Planned for revision knee prosthesis surgery
- Previously diagnosed with psychiatric disorders
- Have had major surgery on the leg where the knee replacement will be done
- Have comorbid diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or cancer
- Have an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score above 3
- Have neurological diseases causing functional disability
- Have flexion limitation of more than 45 degrees or extension limitation of more than 20 degrees
- Regularly use hypnotic or anxiolytic drugs
- Have alcohol or drug addiction
- Have bleeding disorders
- Have uncontrolled diabetes
