What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the combined effect of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) and core stability exercises on chronic non-specific back pain among female university students in Jordan. This condition often involves muscle weakness, poor posture, and soft tissue problems. The study aims to assess how these treatments together can reduce pain and improve physical function and balance. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive ESWT along with core stabilization exercises, while the control group will perform core stabilization exercises combined with therapeutic ultrasound. The study starts in December 2025 and measures outcomes over 12 weeks. During the study, participants will undergo treatment sessions and perform exercises as scheduled. Researchers will assess back pain, physical function, and balance at 12 weeks. The study involves female students aged 16 to 18 who experience chronic non-specific back pain. Monitoring will focus on changes in pain and functional improvement throughout the treatment period.
