Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Women between 20 and 45 years old
- Diagnosed with fibromyalgia according to the 2016 American College of Rheumatology criteria
- Symptoms present at a similar level for at least three months
- No other disorders causing similar symptoms such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, or Lyme disease confirmed by laboratory tests
You will not qualify if you...
- Any medical, neurological, or psychiatric illness
- Use of strong opioids or painkillers other than paracetamol or ibuprofen
- Use of benzodiazepines, illicit drugs, alcohol, or recent cannabis use
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Presence of pain syndromes other than fibromyalgia
- Other autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus
