Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Men aged 18 to 55 years
- Referred for or having a semen analysis
- Willing to abstain from sexual activity for at least 2 days before providing a sperm sample
- Reduced semen quality with progressive motility less than 30%
- Willing to avoid omega-3 or cod liver oil supplements during the study (other supplements allowed)
You will not qualify if you...
- Known allergy to fish products
- Known, suspected, or historical bacterial infection in reproductive organs
- Varicocele suspected on physical examination
- Azoospermia (no sperm present)
- Diagnosis of type 2 diabetes
- Diagnosis of Crohn's Disease
- Poor semen quality due to medical reasons such as cryptorchidism
