Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- At least 12 months have passed since the spinal cord injury event
- Central neuropathic pain below the level of the lesion lasting at least 6 months
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Pain not caused by other conditions such as rheumatological diseases or diabetes
- Pain score greater than 4 on visual analog scale despite maximum doses of medications and physical therapy, considering kidney function and other health conditions
You will not qualify if you...
- History of epilepsy
- Presence of metallic implant in the scalp
- Presence of cochlear implant
- Presence of spinal cord stimulator
- Presence of pacemaker
- Presence of psychiatric illness
- Pregnancy
