Age: 18Years - 50Years

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Women aged between 18-50 not currently pregnant, lactating, or planning to conceive during the study period
  • Confirmed diagnosis of uterine fibroids (leiomyoma) through ultrasound
  • Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels below 20 ng/mL indicating vitamin D deficiency
  • Presence of symptoms related to uterine fibroids such as heavy menstrual bleeding or urinary frequency
  • Generally healthy with no chronic illnesses that could affect study outcomes
  • Willingness to provide written informed consent
  • No current use of hormonal therapy, other vitamin D supplements, or medications affecting calcium metabolism or fibroid growth
  • Willing and able to follow study protocol including attending follow-ups and completing assessments
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Women younger than 18 or older than 50 years
  • Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels of 20 ng/mL or higher
  • No confirmed diagnosis of uterine fibroids through imaging
  • Pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to conceive during the study period
  • Presence of chronic illnesses such as autoimmune diseases, cancers, or severe liver or kidney disease
  • Current or recent use of hormonal therapy, other vitamin D supplements, or medications affecting calcium metabolism or fibroid growth
  • Surgical interventions or medical treatments for uterine fibroids within the past 6 months
  • Conditions like hyperparathyroidism or calcium disorders affecting vitamin D metabolism or fibroid growth
