The Effect of Weight Bearing on Patient Outcomes Following 1st MTP Joint Fusion
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or greater
- Medically fit for surgery
- Diagnosed with a condition that can be treated with first MTP joint fusion based on clinical exam and radiographs
- Failed non-operative treatments including orthotics, bracing, Tylenol, NSAIDs, or shoe modification
- Surgery is only for isolated first MTP joint fusion
- Able and willing to comply with follow-up schedule and requirements
- Capable of providing informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Age less than 18 years old
- Surgery booking includes procedures beyond first MTP fusion
- Unable to comply with follow-up schedule and requirements
- Unable to provide informed consent
