Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Children aged 5 to 18 years with pectus excavatum deformity
  • Children undergoing conservative treatment such as vacuum orthosis or exercise
  • Families must sign a consent form agreeing to participate in the study
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Known cardiac disease
  • Presence of an additional syndrome such as Marfan syndrome
  • Cobb angle greater than or equal to 10 degrees
  • Refusal to participate in the study
  • Presence of mixed deformity such as pectus arcuatum
  • Those indicated for surgery
