Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 or older
- Primary hypertension confirmed by medical certificate or equivalent
- Diagnosed with ICD-10-GM codes I10.00 or I10.90
- Unmedicated or on stable antihypertensive medication for at least 6 weeks
- Last office-based systolic blood pressure at least 140 mmHg followed by home-based systolic blood pressure at least 135 mmHg
- Provided consent to participate
You will not qualify if you...
- Home-based systolic blood pressure over 180 mmHg
- Taking more than three types of antihypertensive medications
- History of secondary hypertension such as thyroid or kidney disease
- Pregnant
