Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Juvenile has an estimated IQ of 80 or higher and/or sufficient adaptive skills to benefit from FAST
- Juvenile is aged 12 to 21 years old at the start of the intervention
- Juvenile shows externalizing behavior causing problems in at least two life areas (family, school, or leisure)
- Juvenile has medium to high risk of reoffending based on RAF GGZ Youth assessment
- Juvenile has problems in the juvenile-caregiver relationship as measured by RAF GGZ Youth
- Juvenile has a diagnosis of a DSM-5 behavioral disorder determined by diagnostic process or case file
- Juvenile and caregiver cannot be motivated to attend treatment at the treatment site after multiple attempts
- Juvenile lives with caregiver(s) or is expected to return within two months of starting FAST
You will not qualify if you...
- Juvenile has severe psychiatric symptoms requiring hospital admission
- Juvenile's problems are mainly caused by substance abuse expected to improve with substance abuse treatment
- Safety of family members or therapist cannot be guaranteed
- Juvenile is in secure residential care or confined in correctional or detention facility at start of intervention
