Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Knee pain caused by a traffic accident with a pain rating of 5 or higher on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS)
- Patients hospitalized for treatment related to a traffic accident
- Acute knee pain experienced within 14 days of the traffic accident
- Age between 19 and 70 years old
- Agreement to participate in the study and provide written consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of serious diseases causing knee pain such as acute fracture, dislocation, or complete ligament rupture
- Knee pain caused by diseases other than knee injury (tumor, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lumbar disc herniation, etc.)
- Need for surgical intervention due to suspected acute fracture, dislocation, ligament, or cartilage damage
- Presence of other acute diseases that may affect treatment or results (stroke, myocardial infarction, kidney disease, diabetic neuropathy, dementia, epilepsy, etc.)
- Current use of steroids, immunosuppressants, mental illness drugs, or other medications affecting study findings
- Conditions causing inadequate or unsafe medication use, such as hemorrhagic disease, anticoagulant therapy, or severe diabetes with infection risk
- Use of pain-affecting drugs like NSAIDs, or receipt of herbal acupuncture or physical therapy within the past week
- Pregnancy, planning to become pregnant, or nursing
- Knee surgery within the past 3 months or prior knee replacement surgery
- Participation in another clinical study within the past month or planned participation during the study or follow-up period within 6 months
- Inability to complete the consent form
- Difficulty participating in clinical research due to other reasons
