Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Signed informed consent form
- Age between 20 and 80 years
- Child-Pugh liver function score class A or B
- Serum bilirubin level less than or equal to 1.5 times the upper limit of normal
- Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels less than or equal to 2 times the upper limit of normal
You will not qualify if you...
- Unwilling to sign the informed consent form
- Child-Pugh liver function score class C
- Presence of main portal vein thrombosis
- Diffuse liver tumors
- Allergy to contrast medium
- Abnormal coagulation function
- Severe brain, heart, or lung dysfunction
- Severe renal dysfunction (except on dialysis)
- Unable to cooperate with the study
- Uncontrolled arrhythmia or unstable blood pressure
- Abnormal thyroid function
- Active gastrointestinal bleeding, refractory ascites, or severe portal hypertension
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
