Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Signed informed consent form
  • Age between 20 and 80 years
  • Child-Pugh liver function score class A or B
  • Serum bilirubin level less than or equal to 1.5 times the upper limit of normal
  • Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels less than or equal to 2 times the upper limit of normal
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Unwilling to sign the informed consent form
  • Child-Pugh liver function score class C
  • Presence of main portal vein thrombosis
  • Diffuse liver tumors
  • Allergy to contrast medium
  • Abnormal coagulation function
  • Severe brain, heart, or lung dysfunction
  • Severe renal dysfunction (except on dialysis)
  • Unable to cooperate with the study
  • Uncontrolled arrhythmia or unstable blood pressure
  • Abnormal thyroid function
  • Active gastrointestinal bleeding, refractory ascites, or severe portal hypertension
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
