Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Stroke diagnosis
- Age between 18 and 80 years
- Able to walk independently or with an assistive device for at least 10 meters
- Functional Ambulation Category (FAS) score of 2 or higher
- Modified Ashworth Scale score of 2 or less for gastrocnemius and biceps muscles
- Physician approval to participate in an exercise program
- Healthy individuals aged 18 to 80 without neurological or orthopedic conditions affecting balance and gait for control group
- Physician approval for exercise program for control group
You will not qualify if you...
- Severe visual impairments
- Cerebellar involvement
- Upper extremity Brunnstrom stage 3 or less
- Cancer diagnosis
- Neurological or orthopedic conditions other than stroke
- Inability to understand or follow commands or lack of cooperation
