Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 45 years
- Body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 35 kg/m2
- Willingness to consume study foods
- Willing to follow the study protocol
- Consistent diet and activity patterns for at least 4 weeks
- Stable weight with no more than 5 kg change in past 3 months
- Non-smoker for one year or longer
You will not qualify if you...
- Allergies to any foods provided in the study
- Diabetes
- Gastrointestinal disease or history of bariatric surgery
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure (≥ 180/110 mmHg)
- Use of illicit drugs
- Recent antibiotic or probiotic use
- Recent start of medications affecting metabolism or appetite
- Recent blood donation
- Current drug treatment for coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, congestive heart failure, or dyslipidemia
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Taste or smell disorders
- High usual consumption of red meat or plant-based meat (4 or more times per week)
