Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients aged between 18 and 35 years old with permanent teeth
- Undergoing orthodontic treatment using fixed appliances
- Require extraction of premolars in either upper or lower dental arch
- Have fair oral hygiene habits
- Are systemically healthy
You will not qualify if you...
- Have generalized dental caries and severe chronic periodontitis (stages III and IV)
- Have congenital or severe craniofacial anomalies needing orthognathic surgery
- Have physical or mental impairments, smoke, or take systemic medications
- Have current root resorption on any teeth
- Have endodontic treatment or large restorations on premolars to be extracted
