Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients aged between 18 and 35 years old with permanent teeth
  • Undergoing orthodontic treatment using fixed appliances
  • Require extraction of premolars in either upper or lower dental arch
  • Have fair oral hygiene habits
  • Are systemically healthy
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Have generalized dental caries and severe chronic periodontitis (stages III and IV)
  • Have congenital or severe craniofacial anomalies needing orthognathic surgery
  • Have physical or mental impairments, smoke, or take systemic medications
  • Have current root resorption on any teeth
  • Have endodontic treatment or large restorations on premolars to be extracted
