Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Voluntary written informed consent obtained before screening
- Age between 18 and 43 years
- Planning to undergo medically assisted reproduction (e.g., IUI, IVF, ICSI)
- Physically able to perform cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET)
You will not qualify if you...
- Any health condition preventing hormonal stimulation for medically assisted reproduction
- Contraindications for cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET)
- Not pregnant at initial screening
- Current illicit drug abuse including daily marijuana and CBD use (alcohol up to 2 drinks per day allowed)
- Severe chronic diseases such as severe heart failure or active cancer
- Severe kidney impairment (e.g., estimated glomerular filtration rate below 30 ml/min/m2)
- Known liver cirrhosis or severe liver disease
- Uncontrolled thyroid disease
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Inability to follow study procedures due to language or psychological issues
