What this Trial Is About

Stroke is a major cause of long-term disability worldwide, with survivors often facing challenges in lower limb movement, balance, and body awareness. These difficulties significantly affect their independence and quality of life. This trial investigates how task-oriented training TOT, with or without rhythmic auditory stimulation RAS like metronome beats, can improve these functions in adults who have had a stroke within the past six months. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Group A will receive 30-minute supervised TOT sessions combined with RAS, focusing on walking tasks, obstacle navigation, stair climbing, and balance, five days a week for eight weeks, plus 30 minutes of standard physiotherapy. Group B will follow the same TOT exercises without rhythmic cues, also five days a week for eight weeks, plus 30 minutes of baseline physiotherapy. Both groups will include warm-up and cool-down periods in their sessions. During the study, participants will undergo assessments measuring lower limb motor function, dynamic balance, proprioception, motivation, and adherence to rehabilitation. These evaluations will be performed before and after the eight-week intervention. Researchers will analyze the data to compare the effects of training with and without rhythmic auditory guidance. The total participation includes regular supervised exercise sessions over eight weeks, with ongoing monitoring of progress and safety.
