Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 40 and 60 years old
- Radiologic evidence of grade 2 knee osteoarthritis on X-ray
- Tenderness on the medial tibial plateau
- Pain intensity of 5 or greater on the visual analogue scale
- Failure of two or more types of previous conservative treatments in the last three months, including medication, anti-inflammatory drugs, physical therapy, stretching, acupuncture, orthotics, or others
You will not qualify if you...
- Neurological or vestibular system disorders
- Systemic inflammatory diseases
- Steroid injections within the last six months
- Diabetes mellitus
- Acute symptomatic arthritis
- Other conditions affecting walking function such as osteomyelitis, tuberculosis, or tumors
- Contraindications to exercise
- Cognitive impairment
