Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Aged between 18 and 50, both genders are welcome.
  • Meets DSM-5 criteria for obsessive-compulsive disorder.
  • Y-BOCS total score of 20 or higher despite therapeutic-dose SRI treatment or completion of at least one full course of CBT.
  • Stable treatment regimen for at least 8 weeks prior to enrollment and unchanged during the study.
  • More than 9 years of education.
  • Right-handed.
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Any current psychiatric comorbidity except obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.
  • Severe obsessive symptoms preventing completion of necessary assessments.
  • History of receiving electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).
  • Received repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) or transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) within the past two months.
  • Severe physical illnesses or conditions that can cause epilepsy or intracranial hypertension, including cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
  • History of neurological disorders (such as epilepsy, cerebrovascular accidents) or brain injuries, or brain surgery.
  • Presence of implanted medical devices such as intracranial stents, cardiac pacemakers, coronary stents, cochlear implants.
  • Serious suicide risk.
  • Pregnancy or nursing an infant.
