Eligibility Criteria

- Nursing homes must have a system to monitor upper and lower respiratory infections among residents
- Nursing homes must agree to participate in the study
- Nursing homes must agree to follow the study protocol
- Nursing homes must accept installation of UVGI devices
- Nursing homes must provide information leaflets to all residents or their legal guardians
- Residents present at the start or arriving during the study periods are eligible

- Nursing homes unwilling to install UVGI devices in all required rooms
- Nursing homes planning major structural changes (extension, renovation, closure) during the study
- Residents who do not want their personal data used in the study
