Age: 21Years +
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age 6521 years
  • Smoke at least 5 cigarettes per day for 1 year or more
  • Daily combustible cigarette smoker
  • Willing to switch to electronic cigarettes
  • Exhaled carbon monoxide level of 6 ppm or higher
  • Diagnosed with opioid use disorder
  • Stable on buprenorphine treatment
  • In good physical and mental health
  • Able to use a smartphone
  • Willing to participate in all study components
  • Able to provide informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Interested in quitting combustible cigarettes (contemplation stage of change)
  • Used electronic cigarettes on 4 or fewer days in the past 30 days
  • Used other tobacco products (e.g., cigars, smokeless tobacco) on 9 or more days in the past 30 days
  • Used nicotine replacement therapy, smoking cessation medication, or made a cessation attempt in the past 30 days
  • Have hypertension
  • Have any medical condition that contraindicates participation
  • Meet DSM-V criteria for major depressive episode, psychotic episode, or manic episode
  • Current suicidal ideation or suicide attempt in the past year
  • Psychiatric hospitalization in the past year
  • Contemplating pregnancy, currently pregnant, or breastfeeding
  • Unable to speak and/or read English
