Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Can be treated between 4.5-6 hours after symptom onset (symptom onset defined by "last seen normal" principle)
- Presenting with ischemic stroke symptoms
- Pre-stroke modified Rankin Scale score of 0-1
- Baseline National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score 5 or higher
- Eligible for endovascular thrombectomy
- Signed informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Baseline National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score less than 5
- Unable to undergo MRI due to claustrophobia
- Presence of cardiac pacemaker, brain pacemaker, or insulin pump
- Definite contraindication for endovascular thrombectomy
- Postictal hemiparesis (Todd's paralysis) or neurological/psychiatric conditions preventing cooperation
- Pregnant women, nursing mothers, or unwillingness to use effective contraception during the trial
- Participation in other interventional randomized clinical trials within 3 months before enrollment
- Deemed unsuitable for participation or at greater risk by the investigator
