Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Voluntarily participate and sign informed consent
- Age between 18 (inclusive) and 60 (exclusive) years
- Meet DSM-5 criteria for Major Depressive Episode
- Hamilton Depression Rating Scale 17-item (HAMD-17) score of 17 or higher at screening and baseline
- Physically stable based on medical history and vital signs
- Able to complete study assessments independently and willing to follow study procedures
You will not qualify if you...
- Current or past diagnosis of schizophrenia, psychotic disorders (unless substance-induced or due to another medical condition), bipolar disorder, delusional disorder, paranoid personality disorder, schizoaffective disorder, borderline personality disorder, or other severe psychiatric conditions
- Alcohol or substance abuse within the past year
- Suicide risk indicated by a score of 3 or more on HAMD-17 item 3, suicide attempt within the past year, or significant suicide risk
- Depression caused by other severe medical conditions such as hypothyroidism or Parkinson's disease
- Cardiovascular diseases including stroke or heart attack within the past year, high blood pressure over 140/90 mmHg, or significant arrhythmia
- Other major comorbid diseases that may affect study results or participant safety
- Participation in another interventional study for Major Depressive Disorder within 30 days prior to screening
- Visited Wulongtan Park, Baotu Spring Park, or Daming Lake Park for a prolonged period (1 hour or more) within the past three years
