Feasibility Study of a Digital Parenting Program to Support Children Ages 4 to 10 with Behavior Challenges

Researchers are evaluating a new parenting program aimed at helping parents manage common behavioral challenges faced by children during daily transitions. This feasibility study focuses on children aged 4 to 10 years who show difficulties in managing everyday routines, especially those with behaviors consistent with ADHD, though diagnosis is not required. The study aims to assess the practical use and preliminary effects of delivering parenting education through automated video and text messages. Parents participating in the study will receive a series of six short educational videos via a popular texting platform, delivered approximately every three days. Along with the videos, parents will get daily text messages that include tips for applying the strategies and assessments of their childs transition behaviors. The program emphasizes behavior management techniques based on antecedent and reinforcement strategies to build positive parenting habits. Participants will be asked to engage with the videos and respond to daily ratings over one month. Researchers will evaluate program usability, satisfaction, and the impact on parenting practices and child behavior through questionnaires and parent reports. The primary outcomes include the number of videos viewed, completion rates of daily ratings, and participant satisfaction within one month. Secondary outcomes assess child difficulties with transitions, parenting consistency, use of physical control, hostility, and parent stress. The total participation time is one month.
