Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Karnofsky score >70
  • Histologically or cytologically confirmed non-keratinized nasopharyngeal carcinoma (WHO type II or III) or carcinoma in situ
  • Stage I nasopharyngeal carcinoma defined as T1N0M0 by UICC/AJCC 8th edition
  • Retropharyngeal lymph nodes ≤0.4 cm and cervical lymph nodes ≤0.6 cm, or slightly larger nodes with negative PET/CT results
  • Signed informed consent and willingness to follow study procedures
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Primary tumor diameter >1.5 cm on MRI or presence of internal carotid artery vascular malformation affecting surgery
  • Recurrent or distant metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma or other malignancies
  • Severe organ dysfunction or physical disorder preventing surgery or radiotherapy
  • Inability to cooperate with regular follow-up due to psychological, social, domestic, or geographical reasons
