Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Karnofsky score >70
- Histologically or cytologically confirmed non-keratinized nasopharyngeal carcinoma (WHO type II or III) or carcinoma in situ
- Stage I nasopharyngeal carcinoma defined as T1N0M0 by UICC/AJCC 8th edition
- Retropharyngeal lymph nodes ≤0.4 cm and cervical lymph nodes ≤0.6 cm, or slightly larger nodes with negative PET/CT results
- Signed informed consent and willingness to follow study procedures
You will not qualify if you...
- Primary tumor diameter >1.5 cm on MRI or presence of internal carotid artery vascular malformation affecting surgery
- Recurrent or distant metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma or other malignancies
- Severe organ dysfunction or physical disorder preventing surgery or radiotherapy
- Inability to cooperate with regular follow-up due to psychological, social, domestic, or geographical reasons
